to expect dh to admit that I was right (for once!)

We've had a leak under the kitchen sink all week. I said it was the little plastic y- shaped tube but dh said there was nothing wrong with that it was the hoses from the washing machine. So I went to buy some hoses but it was still leaking. Dh went off to bed leaving old hoses in sink, a pile of highly dangerous substances (bleach etc) in the middle of the kitchen floor and a puddle that anyone could slip on. With much seething I put newspaper down/cleared up etc. "are you sure it's not that little plastic tube?" I asked, but no apparently not. The neighbour gave dh a roll of special tape which he applied with much cursing. Leak now dripping twice as fast as it was in the first place!
This morning I went to B&Q and got a little plastic Y-shaped tube for the grand total of £1.28. Couldn't help noticing that washing machine hoses were £4 cheaper than I had paid in Homebase Grrrr!
Dh has just put in plastic joint which took him all of two minutes and it is fixed. Hurrah! No mention of how I was right all along though...

Oh, The holy grail of a man admitting he was wrong, especially about some kind of diy-type thing! No chance! Just make sure you tell everyone you know that you actually sussed out what the problem was!

I suppose I could have done it myself but I like to try and make him feel useful
