To ask why there's not an environmental section - in the widest sense - on Mumsnet? Why TV Addicts, The Doghouse, and other such interesting topics are so much more popular?

Like many of us, I'm watching David Attenborough on Netflix, reading stuff in the papers about creating a new world post Covid, wondering about climate change and creating richer soils for more nutritious food.....

But surprised to find there's just one small thread on Climate change, little used and nowt that is wider ranging ... Just wondering that's all.... and knowing that if an active one existed I'd be hopping on now and then ... as I do with Recipes and Christmas.. and yes Doghouse and Telly Addicts....

I would happily frequent that section 😁

I think a lot of that kind of stuff ends up in chat and AIBU. But if you want one, start a campaign for it! Meaning that in a non-snarky way - if the demand is there MN might set it up.

I agree. If I want to find out what people think about a particular topic in relation to environmental issues, MN isn't a place I can easily find very much. It would be easier if there was a proper board for it.

Yup - I hope it is something Mumsnet might take a lead on ... its so important. And I believe people would start using it more and more although could be a slow start
