I'd love to see it again.

Its set in the 1920s. Two sisters are left with not much money but decide to start making dresses and manage to turn it into a high class business. They do quite a lot of socialising too..

Just can't remember its name

The House of Eliot, it was great! French and Saunders did a brilliant take down of it too

I think it's shown on the Drama channel occasionally if you have access to that OP. I'm sure I've seen it fairly recently - worth keeping a look out.

We always used to watch it at Sunday tea time Smile I still remember the theme tune...

Simarilion · 08/11/2020 18:59

Loved it! Was one of them perpetually on the verge of getting married, possibly for money? I can't remember any actual plot, but lots of lovely 20s clothes.

Hayeahnobut · 08/11/2020 18:59

It's sometimes repeated on Drama or one of those channels. Was great originally, wore thin very quickly trying to watch it again!

Puddlelane123 · 08/11/2020 19:00

Loved this! I sooo wanted to be Evie. I was forever flouncing around the house trying to emulate her style!

Hearwego · 08/11/2020 19:03

I wasn’t going to say House Of Elliot as soon as I saw the description!
Definitely early 90s throw back!

Janaih · 08/11/2020 19:03

I still shout TILLY! when the actress pops up in other things.

demelza82 · 08/11/2020 19:03

You can get it on DVD

Sorry I meant I was going to say House Of Elliot as soon as I saw the description!
