To think that Sunday’s are not Sunday’s without Call the midwife?

I mean if they ever stopped Countryfile I would boycott Sunday all together.
But Sundays seemed complete in the days of Call The Midwife.

It’s like in the old days with songs of praise, then the Darling Buds Of May used to make my Sundays.

Pfffft, bloody loved Call The Midwife. Are they making anymore does anyone know?

It’s all made up stories now anyway. They ran out of original Jennifer worth material long ago

BrokenBrit · 08/11/2020 18:54

It’s all on Netflix, we started again from season 1 and loved it.
I believe we have a Christmas episode and another season to look forward to, if covid hasn’t messed it up of course.

The new series are normally shown Jan and Feb on Sundays. I think they tend to film over summer but don't know of that will have happened this year...

katy1213 · 08/11/2020 18:57

There's a Christmas one coming up. Guess it'll run and run until Trixie finds a man.
I'm bored with Midwife but I'll probably watch it for lack of anything else - but you're right, there's nothing on Sunday evenings - we need a Downton. Or a very long Dickens/Trollope.

They have been filming this year, I saw a news thing about it somewhere...

lazylump72 · 08/11/2020 18:58

OP ,,Sundays can still be sundays if you have Netflix....you can go right back to the very start and re live them all over again.....just saying!!!

HOkieCOkie · 08/11/2020 18:58

RandomMess · 08/11/2020 18:59

Life is much better without CTMW thanks very much!!! Once it moved from the original books it became sickly sweet and dire.

greensnail · 08/11/2020 19:00

I'm watching it now on Drama, but the new series normally starts after Christmas.
