Ideas to help dh down in the dumps

Hi everyone

I’m not ready to send him to the Dr but dh definitely a bit depressed. Has been up and down since first lockdown. Suffering from lack of contact, stress of work, not enough time to himself (1 year old dc). I try and encourage him to get out and do exercise he enjoys.

Any advice on things I can do to help lift his mood? However big or small.

TIA!

Definitely exercise

Vitamin D

Try and tell him 10 things you love about him every day and see if he can do the same for you

Getting into a bit of a routine so that its less easy to slump around feeling down

Having a tidy clean home/garden and him participating in achieving it

It's not your job to lift his mood, and he is entitled to feel what he feels. Everyone is allowed to be depressed because of covid. That's what I was told by MN.

So suck it up, enjoy your own life, leave him to sort himself out.

Bj/shag, big fat juicy steak, no nagging, comedy films, let his friends know he's low

Me and DH pretty much spend weekends alternating who is on "childcare duty".
Really helps with the intensity of lockdown and allows us time to reset
