Tacky Christmas theme?

I really love Fortnum and Mason's and it has always been to me a representation of what Christmas should look like.
I'd love to get some stuff from there for this Christmas - advent calendar, tree baubles, tea towels, crackers etc but I think it might end up looking like I've branded my house or created a horribly tacky theme.
I know it's the most incredibly first world and ridiculous AIBU to ask, but AIBU to think that going the full Fortnum might look tacky?

Although I love fortnum and mason I dont think I could go all out on it personally, maybe get some key pieces and work it into things that way ?
But go all out if you want to , 2020 has been an awfully shit year for everyone

Isn’t it rather expensive? I get my mince pies from there, but would baulk at paying for loads of stuff. I’m not sure christmas has to look a certain way.

Probably, but why is that a problem?

Fattyfattymummum · 08/11/2020 08:21

Ah you lot, thanks so much! I thought I was going to get flamed but nice to hear the kindness Smile

Christmas is tacky however you dress it up, so go forth and enjoy OP.

Well surely you just buy what you like from where you like, budget dependent obviously. What others think doesn't matter, it's your house.

Unless you're very rich, you're probably likely to run out of money before you buy enough for your house to look like the F&M window display.
