I think it would be brilliant.
Non celebs apply
BBC pay the non celeb wage for them whilst 12 weeks on the show and whilst they aren't working.
Or fit training around hours at work
I would love that!
Anyone else ?
It is just my fantasy as I would bloody love to dance ha ha

Pressed post too soon...

Strictly gives an unrealistic idea of what dancing entails. To be an actual dancer takes time, effort and training, none of which is particularly interesting to watch.

I still love Strictly, but for the sparkle and sequins rather than proper dancing!

Isn't the show boring enough without adding a bunch of nobodies to it?

StrawScarecrow · 07/11/2020 20:45

The Greatest Dancer was an "ordinary dancers get pro" type programme and it was a bit of a flop (much as I loved it) so I'm guessing they wouldn't be keen to try other similar programmes.

I think because people are already invested with the shows dancers after them being on every year there's a chance it could work.
If anyone could pass this on to bbc that would be great ha ha

They did a ‘People’s Strictly’ a few years ago but people just weren’t interested. I assume that’s why they only did one series (although I think it was only maybe 2-3 episodes)

I know I watched the first episode but none of the others as it was boring and didn’t hold my interest at all (and I’m a Strictly fan).

I expect people would apply for all the wrong reasons, as they seem to do on The Apprentice or did for Big Brother.
