I didn’t expect to feel so elated.

It’s amazing to hear Biden speak with such integrity.

Will our government stop all their lies and bullshit now. They were choosing the path of Trump.

AIBU to hope the UK and the rest of the world will be allowed to reform now?

I'm happy Biden won over Trump. However, it's not a magic solution, and Johnston and Co will continue as they mean to go on. It doesn't affect them, and when their time comes (quite a few years away from now), the fact Biden won will be near irrelevant.

I hope it does ease the nasty spread of nationalism across the globe thought. People like Farage will have very little platform to shout from.

Trump hasn’t gone yet. This will be a few intense months for the US and in turn the world. Nations, including the UK, won’t be making any moves just yet. They will hang back and see what unfolds in the US this winter.

Trump is a wounded man. And he’s capable of anything.

Lol no. Do you know what Joe Biden stands for?
We might get some more wars if you like those...

It’s a great thing for Brexit, because Biden is pro-EU. So there’s not going to be a sweet little US deal to get us over a no deal.

BJ will be forced to actually negotiate, no deal won’t be looking so good now.

Hayeahnobut · 07/11/2020 19:48

Domestically, our government won't change.

Internationally, Biden won't deal with a government that acts in a way that breaches the Good Friday Agreement. Our government are going to have to change tack with the EU very quickly, or risk no trade agreements with the EU and the US.

Yes I had heard this Teddy. That’s definitely a positive thing.

It just always felt as though Boris modelled himself on Trump somehow and our government copied the gaslighting technique etc

They will look stupid now doing this won’t they? Isolated. Other European countries don’t do this thing.
