To have a plan for 50?

Will be turning 50 middle of next year, find it very hard to accept this in my head and want to have some goals to inspire me! Only one I've got so far is getting to run a 1/2 marathon - furthest I've ever run is 10 miles - once!!! Ideas welcome.

I have a friend who did '50 things to do in my 50th year'.
I realise it will be more difficult in these times, but it included all sort of different things from running a 5K to watching the sunset on a beach to having afternoon tea at the Ritz to going to an opera to watching the sunrise on a local hill to reading a classic book she'd never read to cooking a pavlova which she had never done.
It was great because it obviously averages out at one a week, but most of them were actually free and plenty of them could be done at any time, or over time (like her C25K, or like reading the book). I seem to remember there were things like planting some bulbs in there too - things that cost little, took about 30mins, but gave her pleasure watcing them flower some months later.

Would something like that appeal ? (Obviously you might have to rule out going to any big gigs / sporting events / ballets / concerts / plays / opera)
