To be a bit hacked off with work

I know my boss is under stress at the minute and she's usually great but...

I've had a sore boob for a couple of weeks - had a feel around and not sure if I can feel anything nasty or not. I've booked an appointment for docs tonight at 4:50pm (despite me furtling with myself on Friday & being unsure) cos it's outside of work time. We work flexi time here.
I've just reminded her I'm going and she said "well, is anyone here to cover the phones till 5?"
Well, actually, I don;t give a flying f*ck at a rolling donut if there isn't.
Her and her mate alwasy go at dead on 4pm because "we get in early". So do I usually, but I generally stay till 4:30. I've got 8 hours flexi built up but my main problem is that I MAY HAVE A LUMO IN MY BREAST AND ALL YOU'RE CONCERNED WITH IS THE FECKING PHONES!!

(and yes, she does know why I'm going cos I told her)

Rant over. Thanks

No you're not being unreasonable at all.

PanicPants · 16/10/2007 13:45

And really hope your 'lump' turns out to just be nothing. Good luck.

Oh dear. Could you perhaps trap her in the toilet until going home time and then run out of the door quickly before she can?

I'm sorry you are so worried. Could it be a cyst? My auntie had several of those treated - harmless but quite painful. She is being an ar*e btw.

Iklboo · 16/10/2007 13:47

I'm keeping an open mind till I see doc. I have got other cyst type things on my arms & ribs apparently so it could be just another one of those. I'm just a bit peed off that she thinks the phones are more important than my health

DOn't blame you ikiboo! Silly cow!

She's usually really good but when she gets stressed we all get it. She's snappy & muttering under her breath. We get snotty emails when she's not checked the facts properly.
I'm pretty sure if it's anything even slightly iffy with my books she will be very supportive. I just saw my arse (not a pretty sight) when she started banging on about the phones.
