Posting here as it's busier than the health board. I hope there's someone on here that can help me! Over 3 weeks ago now I had a dizzy turn, very sore ears, unpleasant enough to lay down (in between horrendous sickness and diarrhea). Phoned the dr's, nurse phoned me back (standard covid protocol for ours) gave me 5 days of amoxicillin for a sinus infection. By day 5 I noticed a slight improvement, but then gradually went back to square one. Ears still hurting. Still dizzy. Horrific brain fog. Feel slow and distanced from myself? Got in to see gp who noticed my left side wasn't as responsive as my right so sent me up to a&e. I had a CT scan followed by an MRI and saw a stroke consultant. Stroke was ruled out and I've been referred to ENT. Had a couple of bad dizzy days...always accompanied by sickness, diarrhea and panic type adrenaline rushes. I've been feeling gradually better, yesterday was my best day yet...baby in baby carrier and a lovely foresty walk with 4 year old DD and DH. Felt almost like me last night! Woke up at 5 am soaked with sweat with the actual walls spinning. Horrific sensation that I was falling, worst dizziness I've ever had! Bounced off the walls to just about make it to the bathroom - horrendous sickness and diarrhea AGAIN. 3 hours it all lasted, I had to lay very very still in-between crashes to the bathroom.
I'm now back to low level dizzy. My ears hurt and feel full of ick. I'm struggling to focus my eyes again, it's almost like their too tired? I went to the optician last week and that was fine.
Sorry for rambling, I'm a bit muddled. Anyone have any guesses? I also have a pulled neck/shoulder muscle that started around the same time...not sure if relative. I'm exclusively breastfeeding my little one so limited to medications. Got a nurses app tomorrow hopefully she's going to try the Epley manouvre. It's been going on too long, I'm so down and feel like the worst wife/mother.
