HI, today was a scary journey to school.
My DH was taking my car to the garage to get it serviced (garage by his office) and so i had the use of his car for the day.
Get the kids in for school and playschool and the bl**dy thing won't start!
All the other mums have already left for school and i have to be at the playschool as i'm helping out today.
So we get the pushchair out for the almost 3yr old and set off walking.
The school is only 1 mile away and it does have a narrow pavement, this is on a country road,#
But the entrance to the school is on a VERY busy main road to a motorway and it is a nightmare to cross even in a car.
Cars, Lorries and buses thundering past and at this point NO pavement WTF!
Forgot to add that the entrance is on a crossroads with queing traffic.
Decided for safety to go accross a patch of grass so that at least i did not have to stand in the middle of the road to cross.
And what do you know, great big ditch in it!
Lucky it has been dry for a few weeks.
Just managed to haul the pushchair out of it and now we are inches away from the edge of the road and there are great big quarry lorries going past here.
Thank God one was not coming and we managed to get accross the mayhem and madness.
Never doing that again!
All they would have to do is at least put in a pavement that goes along a bit further to a safe place to cross.
No wonder people use cars around here.

my dh is a expert at leaving his car with no petrol in,i go to the garage when i am about 1/4 full and fill the car up (im sure most normal people do this)

dh tries to work out exactly how much petrol he needs for his journey and goes and puts that ammount in ggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr

which means if he borrows my car he has a nice full tank if i take his car i need go and fill it up for him every time
