There is a massive difference in how happy people are:
A snapshot of happiness today
YABU - vote if unhappy
YANBU - vote if happy

Or on a scale of 1 to 10 very 1 is very unhappy and 10 is ecstatic - where do you sit?

I feel about a 6 at present. Never been a 10 - got to an 8 ...been down to a 1 a few times in my life with various circumstances though

The Covid crisis would probably impact on lots of people to a negative at the moment - but that is only an assumption - many may be more positive with things

Spinakker · 02/11/2020 14:31

I'd probably say a 6 too !

Love51 · 02/11/2020 14:32

Is this related to the thread where op is annoyed her DH said 5? Because rating didn't work well for them!

GoldenNCurly · 02/11/2020 14:33

Currently at a 5, but that will definitely go up when I finish work!

Trut · 02/11/2020 14:34

8, I think

SchrodingersImmigrant · 02/11/2020 14:37

Depends🤔
Am I stressed up to my eyeballs? Yes (probably secretly like that adrenaline). Am I unhappy with some things? Yes.
Overall on my personal scale?
7/10

I have a home, great DH, anything I need (not 5o be confused with "anything I want"). My family is ok. Not much to complaint about really. At least not many things outside of my control.

8 eould be if we could travel to my family over Christmas
9 would be if pandemic ended
10... Lottery win😁

MmeD · 02/11/2020 14:40

I have my health, family, needs taken care of - but I miss relatives and I’m worried about the world. It’s a bit difficult to go into a town centre and see how empty it is and then skip about feeling 8-ish because I have a roof over my head.

Feeling lucky and grateful - 10

Feeling happy - 5

I read that thread. It just made me think about general happiness and how I currently feel.

Not specifically related to the thread since not about how partner rates but about how you feel. Not necessarily to do with partner at all... so many things affect our happiness - circumstances/MH etc

Was just wondering really

I think it varies a lot depending on the day.

Today? about an 8 (DP just got a promotion and significant pay rise, pregnant with first (unexpected) and all going swimmingly so far, DP and I both have secure jobs now, spent the morning deep cleaning and feel very productive, 14 days of work left until maternity)

But that 8 is in relation to a very shitty last year which I would rate as a 2, and only within the last 2 months has it turned itself around ( financially screwed over my previous business partner last year only now back on track financially, getting less than minimum wage for several months and getting into debt, deaths in the family, rocky patch with DP following his dad's death, neighbour problems eg, drug dealing, dumping rubbish etc, mum ill, sisters mental health not great as 4 friends/people she knew well committed suicide, dog ate poison on his walk and rushed to the vet, flood damage earlier this year, all cumulating in me experiencing my first ever panic attacks...) Overall just a crap year making the present comparatively great despite Covid restrictions (lucky to not have lost anyone from Covid).

DanceThen · 02/11/2020 15:36

Probably about a 5 or a 6

Im not unhappy, my life is good and I would do it a disservice to rank under 5, but equally dont feel particularly happy right now.

DreadingSeason2020sFinale · 02/11/2020 16:10

I'm an 8 or 9. We're not rich. We live in our overdraft and don't have savings but we have everything we need. The three kids are amazing, our marriage is wonderful and we have full cupboards. Anything else is just icing.

I'm hoping to get a job soon and anything I earn will purely be spending and savings money so I can only see life getting that little bit better.

Seenobody · 02/11/2020 16:11
  1. Difficult situation at the moment. Nothing to do with lockdown although that doesn’t help.
Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 02/11/2020 16:42

6 or 7.
Could be a lot worse.

kittykat35 · 02/11/2020 16:44

9 to 10

FudgeBrownie2019 · 02/11/2020 16:47

I'm a definite 8. Not all the time - there are odd worries and sad moments, but generally life is very easy and very good to me and mine. I feel immense gratitude for that.

It's a cliche but the scene in SATC when they ask one another how often they feel happy and Charlotte says "every day, not all day, but every day" and I think that sums up my happiness.

Fluffyscamp · 02/11/2020 16:51

8 or 9 most days the last few months. This year has been hard and we are a bit skint but it has also made me realise how lucky we are and how much I appreciate what I’ve got. The only way I could be happier is either a small lottery win or some good luck jobs wise and being able to see our family again.

Mia1415 · 02/11/2020 16:54

I think I'm around a 6. It can vary between 1-8 on a daily basis though!

teenagetantrums · 02/11/2020 16:54

Probably 7..maybe 8. Depends on my DP really they having mental health issues and sometimes it's hard

TiersTiersTiers · 02/11/2020 16:59

That's really lovely "It's a cliche but the scene in SATC when they ask one another how often they feel happy and Charlotte says "every day, not all day, but every day" and I think that sums up my happiness."

I will try to remember that.

9ish

Dreamylemon · 02/11/2020 18:01

If normally be an 8 or 9 and am a pretty optimistic person.

I'm about a 6 at the moment. Hard to pinpoint why. covid situation definitely impacting. My kids are heard work at the moment and have shredded every last bit of patience.....and it's only Monday!! 😭

Isis1981uk · 02/11/2020 18:42

Definitely an 8.5 to 9 :-)

JoJoSM2 · 02/11/2020 19:00

3 and 9 at the same time...

Very happy with life overall but currently very sleep deprived and my day-to-day mood seems to be linked to how knackered I’m feeling.

Hairyhat · 02/11/2020 19:48

9
I'm very lucky. Poor but happy
