To not be able to see significant other who you don't live with?

So as boris has now said you are not able to mix with other households. This means i am not allowed to see my partner of 5.5 years as we dont live together. We still live at home with our parents as we're currently saving for a deposit. He works away and is only home at weekends and this is the only time we get to spend together. Am i being unreasonable that i shouldn't be allowed to spend this time with him?

Yes you can OP. You have misunderstood the rules.

You can meet another person who is not part of your household outdoors Smile

You can meet outside in public. Or one of you can join the other's household for the month. Hopefully this really will just be for the month.

Also why if he works away (as in not in his parents home but away away) during the week could he not be in your household and stay at your parents and formally just be part of your household, for the sake of 2 days a week?

Sadly yes - this is what Lockdown means. We can't mix households as it increases the risk of virus transmission and if we don't slow that down, we'll be in the shit very very soon
