We're having a clearout a few games, craft things, toys etc. Some selling for a few pounds others giving away free if box battered or part opened craft stuff.

One guy has now sent me 6 messages asking for the craft items to be posted to him that I'm giving away selling for free. I've said no, he's then suggested I'm being unreasonable! Bombarding me with prices of postage, to be fair he's offered to pay postage but I really can't be arsed to add this to the list of life admin stuff I need to do. It can get shoved in a bag and given to a younger cousin, just thought it'd be nice to get rid of some stuff as a job lot so to speak. I've blocked him now. Why isn't it easy, if you can't pick it up, then don't bloody answer the advert.

YANBU, I would tell him that anyone who asks you to post free stuff will be ignored.

Hi @littlefireseverywhere it could be worth looking at the Olio or "next door" apps, you are more likely to find very local people which may reduce requests for posting.

Unfortunately the olio app doesn't have loads of members in my area yet, but I have found some gems on there Smile

I feel your pain... We tried to give away numerous items and then some bikes for £20-30 each...painfully difficult as people didn't turn up, didn't reply etc etc.

It was just a pain... Charity shop or tip next time

Yep I am having the same issue myself OP, it’s so annoying! I just advertised a bundle of train set very clearly marked for collection only and several people asked me to post it across the country. Gah! No way. I have given it to the local charity shop instead.

Can you use Freecycle instead?
