The Great Reset

I am ashamed to say, but I enjoy reading the Daily Mail commentary and getting myself a little depressed (rarely read the articles; it’s straight to comments). I find the comments voted the ‘best’ often ignorant, uneducated and foolish but I just can’t help looking!

Anyway, I have noticed the comments for weeks now have been mentioning The Great Reset on any Covid-19 articles that the DM runs. They mention The World Economic Forum a lot and it has just got me curious. Does anyone here believe in this stuff or is it something that seems to be a sticking point for Mail readers?

I get the basic jest of what it’s about but I never hear anyone in real life or other forums really mention this Great Reset stuff.

I guess I am asking, does anyone else believe in this Great Reset idea especially in regards to Covid-19? And if you do believe in it, why?

I suppose the voting can be a ‘yes’ if you believe in it, and a ‘no’ if you do not.

It's a conspiracy theory that people seem to have decided to jump on - which isn't surprising as conspiracy theories flourish when society is fractured and struggling, but it's a conspiracy theory nonetheless.

I should add, it's not all a conspiracy theory - there are ideas of a 'great reset' knocking around that are more to do with trying to fix the obvious mess the world is in. But the DM commenters (and a lot of twitter!) seem to have taken it to mean that lockdown etc are all part of a nefarious global plan to control us as part of something called 'a great reset'. So it's kind of two different things!

What's been said in the Daily Mail. The Great Reset is a thing. Many sectors are working on it in differemt forms. What's the conspiracy?

Well, I've never even looked at the DM, I mean who does Grin
but isn't a reset inevitable? Nothing will be the same again and I suppose in some cases that will be much better, in others maybe not.
It's hardly a conspiracy why do people jump to label everything so.
Just because it doesn't cover your own view it isn't a conspiracy.

It is not a conspiracy. Look at the world economic forum website they have in big writing "The Great Reset" It is actually a thing. Whether or not it's all caused because of covid or whatever i don't know and can't say but it is a thing. Before writing it off as a conspiracy check their website. plenty of info about it on there. I think it's related to the fourth Industrial Revolution that they've been talking about.
