Anyone else have this annoying bladder issue ?

Usually at night around the time I go to bed. I have to urinate around 4/5 times in the space of an hour, always at night, but only a little comes out each time (sorry for TMI)
I've tried to not drink anything at least an hour before bed, but it hasn't worked.
It's so so annoying, I will be trying to fall asleep and can feel the urge coming on again, and it's just the smallest amount but stops me sleeping.

Anyone else have this ? I'm 29 btw.

Also can wake up during the night bursting for the toilet even if I hadn't drank much before bed.

Cut out caffeine and citrus, it should help. It is annoying, especially if you have to get up at night.

Thanks, I literally don't have any caffiene or citrus though ! Don't drink any tea or coffee, no alcohol either. mainly drink water and squash

Yep had a few tests never but nothing. Been happening for as long as I can remember.

I did read it can be a symptom of diabetes so might be worth speaking to your gp

Thanks for letting me know, I will look into that.
For me it's only really come on this past year, since lockdown really.

I did have this problem when I was close to your age. Very unpleasant! I'm not sure if it was related but I had an enormous fibroid removed a few years later.

It could be diabetes, particularly if you have gained weight/become less active over lockdown.
I’d get it checked right away just in case :(

Versace104 · 31/10/2020 11:15

Getting a bit worried now :/ i've probably gained 1-2kg over the years but my BMI is only 21, my Mum has had fibroids removed come to think about it. Better get it sorted.

Sounds unlikely to be type 2 diabetes if your BM is low, but you can develop type 1 diabetes at any age.

Is it just at night that you have frequent urination?
