Haven’t used eBay much in a long time! I had a problem with my account and didn’t bother with it.

But anyway I ordered something - a new item from an eBay store. Item isn’t really ideal. Not faulty just very odd sizing. Not the fault of the seller as it’s a very well known brand.

Anyway I’ve started a returns case and printed the label and sent it and emailed them to say I would like a refund. I’m aware I have to pay for the returns.

The seller/shop is emailing be weirdly requesting me to cancel the returns case and use a label the shop send me rather than the one eBay provided. Why?!

If I cancel it they could just pretend they never got it and not refund me?! I’m confused.

Advice? Why are they so insistent on me closing the returns case (3 emails).

Sorry for not being an aibu but really confused. The emails don’t really make sense which is making me suspicious. Item wasn’t expensive - £10 so I’m not going to lose sleep over it! But it’s something we don’t need!

This is why I prefer prime!!

Ignore the seller's request and use the eBay label.
If you close the returns case you won't be able to reopen it.

Use the eBay label, and keep your case open until you have your refund. It’s against eBay’s seller rules for a seller to try and make you deal with this outside of eBay, and I’d suggest actually contacting ebay and telling them what’s going on.
