Choosing a car

Do most people use savings to buy a car? Or buy on finance? Or a loan from the bank? It’s so hard to know the car you are buying will be reliable.

There are so many reviews out there about what's reliable and what's not...

Cash or bank loan are best in the long run.
Look on line for the most reliable car in your budget, there’s load of advice out there.

I got mine on PCP. I know it's frowned upon on MN but it was the only way I could afford the car I wanted and I'll either refinance the balloon payment or trade my car in at the end.

I've just bought a 5 year old car with cash. A lot more cash than I have spent before. And I'm a bit scared! Collecting it later on in the week.

I looked at lease cars but they just weren't suitable for my needs. I do quite a lot of miles with work, carry a lot of kit, and have kids. The ones within my budget were all small with hardly any boot space.
