Can anyone shed light on how much they paid for a fixed metal bottom row brace?

Thanks very much

It will depend on how much your teeth need straightening.

Ask your dentist.

My niece was £2300 for a fixed top brace, but
there are so many variables-you need to speak to an orthodontist

CodenameVillanelle · 27/10/2020 13:35

About £2600 for metal train tracks on the bottom only paid in instalments

Sundiamond · 27/10/2020 16:57

i know I need to speak to an orthodontist, I'm just trying to gage some general prices. Thanks

Yeah about £2,500 in 2016 for top braces only. I had the clear ones though, and that cost included absolutely everything needed to complete the treatment - a hygienist appointment, changes of the wires every month or so, filing down one tooth at the end to make it less jagged and teeth whitening

I currently have top and bottom fixed brace. The bottom was £1500 and the top is white ceramic and cost £1750. I’ve to pay for the fixed and plastic retainers when they come off and I think the foxes ones are £400 and the plastic around £100.

Merryoldgoat · 27/10/2020 23:31

You won’t get an accurate price line this. It is so dependent on your mouth.

Top and bottom for me was quoted as £6000k (can’t afford it right now), my friend was half that.

mrsp2009 · 25/11/2020 17:20

I’ve been getting quotes over the last few days for fixed clear train track style braces. For top and bottom £3950 - price includes all appointments, fixed and removable retainers at the end of treatment and some minor composite bonding. This was the best package I found and I called a LOT of orthodontists (this is in Sevenoaks)

Helpmylecreuset · 25/11/2020 17:25

I paid £3K for both top and bottom all inclusive with six month smiles.

We paid £2k for DD's braces, top and bottom. Nothing posh though. Referred by NHS but not sufficiently wonky it turned out, for NHS treatment. All daytime appointments which was a bit of a pain plus metal braces, all appointments etc (practice offers evening ones, but only for premium paying patients).

smartiecake · 25/11/2020 17:31

My son aged 16 has recently had fixed clear/white braces. We are paying £1750 each for top and bottom braces. Thats everything included as well as a night time retainer after the braces are removed.

Happyheartlovelife · 25/11/2020 17:32

Bottom brace for us was £3000. But we’re in the south if that makes a difference

kittykat35 · 25/11/2020 17:35

4K top and bottom

ImperfectTents · 25/11/2020 17:37

1800 top and bottom bog standard wire braces

Mummyoply · 25/11/2020 18:03

I've got clear aligners ( I know they're not suitable for all) but I'm halfway through treatment and very pleased with them. Paid £1,700 and then will need to buy retainers at the end of treatment for £90.
