College funding

Posting here for traffic. My daughter is starting an hnc course at college in Scotland. She is 23 and although still living with us has been financially independent for years, working, paying her bills, her car etc. The bursary she has been given amounts to £84 per month, on top of this she will be working one day a week for her previous employer. These amounts doesn't even cover her bills - car, phone, petrol etc. She doesn't pay any money towards household bills/food at the moment as her hours at work were cut due to Covid, hence the reason she wants to retrain. Does anyone know if she can also apply for a loan aswell as the bursary or even if they would take into account she is a financially independent adult and be able to increase the bursary. The bursary was due to our household income but we are by no means well off and all our income is accounted for each month in bills etc. Anyone got experience of this? Thank you.

She can apply for the loan from SAAS in her HNC year. I did this for both HNC and HND
