Just tried to list some items while having a clear out. Chelsea boots, Adidas trainers, Nike running shoes (new) and some new clothes with tags on. I listed them for free as a good deed as I know some people are struggling with the current situation and they have been sat in my spare room for god knows how long so I won’t miss them.

The post got declined as they don’t accept hand me downs on their page Angry

Anyone else think this is ridiculous?

It's a selling page. Find a freebie page or use free cycle

Thefaceofboe · 25/10/2020 13:40

No freebie page that I’m aware of. It’s a small village page and really don’t see what difference it makes to the admins.

Put them on as ‘open to offers’ or for a nominal amount such as £1.

Thefaceofboe · 25/10/2020 13:49

@Bargebill19 that’s what I did after, put them on for £1. It’s not as if the admin makes commission on each sale Grin

True!!!
We have local admins on Facebook who are similarly very strict about their rules. The locals currently, seem to have the upper hand by getting very crafty! Makes for some interesting and intriguing posts.

A womens refuge would be really glad of them if you can locate a drop off point for one.

Thefaceofboe · 25/10/2020 14:48

Thanks lagneyandcasey I’ll have a look

Just add them to Facebook marketplace as free - they’ll show up for people in your area without being added to groups like the one that declined you.

arethereanyleftatall · 25/10/2020 15:37

Set up a page for free stuff then?

Thefaceofboe · 25/10/2020 15:41

@arethereanyleftatall helpful comment.

Post a comment asking if anyone knows where you could donate some clothes in excellent condition. People will PM you go take them off your hands.
