I have two children ages 18 months and three years, I also have two step children ages 8 and 9.

Would anybody mind sharing what they are getting for their similarly aged children? My two are pretty much sorted but I'm struggling with what to get for the boys (step children)

I have an 8yo whose birthday is a week before Christmas. I tend to buy for both then a day or two before split into two piles.

They are getting:-
Keyboard with stand, stool, headphones and a book of learning to play
Digital camera (cheap but not a kids one)
Walkie talkies (Motorola ones not kids ones)
A fleece blanket
New bedding set
A few figurines and characters from a show they like
A Lego set
New pjs
A new outfit for each
Books
Game of Life Boardgame
A jigsaw

(Again, this is to cover both bday and xmas)

DianaT1969 · 25/10/2020 13:54

I only just managed to hide the Christmas thread. I'd head over there OP. Multiple threads daily about gifts, toys and general Christmas consumerism 🎄

Camomila · 25/10/2020 14:03

4 year old:
Lego set
Crane Truck
Children's Atlas
Teddy

Nearly 1 year old:
Will also get a book and a teddy, plus a toy from us and a toy from Father Christmas.

I'm a bit stuck on the Father Christmas toy as I'd like to get something wooden (DS1 got a rocking horse his first Christmas, we still use it).

Stocking on the 6th of Jan (Italian) but that's oranges/food/tiny toys.

Mammyloveswine · 25/10/2020 15:59

Following as I have no idea what to get my twins who are both autistic - think I’ve already bought them every toy in existence to try to get them interested in things.

There are still three of their birthday presents they didn’t unwrap (various puzzles) so I guess that’s some gifts already 😂

My 9year old is getting a bike, for her main, and some family board games- over lockdown, we found family games so so vital to our bonding and relaxing as a family, that I've resolved to always include a new one at every birthday/ Christmas.
