Pre COVID I booked a holiday to Florida for me and the kids for Easter 2021. After splitting from their dad they've had a tough couple of years and we've looked forward to it so much.

It's not gonna happen is it Sad

No, sorry.

😭 I'm pondering if I should just rebook now for April 2022. I've only paid the deposit so far of £500 and The travel company have said I can rebook at no cost. I also took out travel insurance when I booked so if they go bust at least I can fall back on that (I hope).

Maybe, there's time yet. I had my once in a lifetime Florida holiday booked for June this year, which we didn't get to go on. It would have been my first holiday abroad in 15 years or so and was to celebrate my daughter's 16th and finishing her GCSE's. We were gutted tbh and I hope that doesn't happen to you and you have an amazing time.Flowers

Wait for them to cancel op. I wouldn’t worry about it yet. The election will also make a difference.

Rainbowqueeen · 24/10/2020 10:17

Sorry Op but no I don’t think it will.

I know how disappointing this must be. Take some time to get your head around it
Have you got some other places you’d love to go as a family. I know Florida is the dream for a lot of people but you can have an amazing family holiday in lots of other places.

Even if you could go, there are bound to still be social distancing restrictions. America is likely to be the last country to get Covid under control. I would postpone until 2022 and you'll have something definite to look forward to.

We’re due to go next October and I don’t even think that will happen, so sorry don’t think April will happen. Can you rearrange with no loss?

Silvergreen · 24/10/2020 10:31

I would re-book it in your situation and see if you can do something nearer to home for April 21.

HairyFloppins · 24/10/2020 10:34

I would rebook for 2022.

We are meant to be going to Vegas next August for a wedding but have doubts about that now.

GlummyMcGlummerson · 24/10/2020 10:55

I think I will rebook for April 2022 as I imagine once it's over holidays are gonna be snapped up quickly.

I think I'll sell it to the kids hat even if we physically get there there probably won't be a lot of attractions open and waiting another year will be worth it.

We love going to Crieff in Scotland so I may book that instead!!
