What would you prefer dog owners to do?

Let they dog poo and leave it on the pavement
or
Pick it up, place it in a bag and pop it into your rubbish bag.

I took my dogs out earlier and my chihuahua done a poo I picked it up and popped it in someone’s bin which was on the pavement ( I would never walk into someone’s front garden to put it in. Only if it is only the pavement or up against the front garden wall and I could lean over) and the woman came out and started shouting at me telling me I should hold on to it till I find a bin/get home. There is hardly any public bins about till I get to park which is a 10 minute walk. I feel like letting my big dog go and poo right outside her dog and leave it!

Your pile of shit should be in your own bin OP, just keep it for yourself

You pick it up in a poo bag and then carry it until you reach a public bin or your own bin and then dispose of it like EVERY OTHER DOG OWNER.

scumbags people used to do that to my bin. It absolutely stank and the binmen refused to empty it. I actually had to get a padlock to prevent the pond life leaving their dog shit in my bin.

She’s not saying a chihuahua is a big dog, she states at the start of the post she was out with her ‘dogs’, then states at the end she wants to let her ‘big dog’ poo in front of the woman’s house!

If you put it in my bin I'd have to take it out and put it in a black bag as my bin won't get emptied unless everything is in a black bag. So I'd rather you stopped being so selfish and dispose of your own dogs waste!

Read the post properly she isn't saying her chihuahua is a big dog she is saying she has dogs pointing out that the chihuahua is the one that had done a poo.
But I'm with pp I also hate it when anyone comes over with a baby and puts a nappy in my bin I wouldn't say anything they are guests but why would you want a strangers dog poo 🤢

Perhaps you could bag it then hang it overhead from a tree like a beautiful shit filled plastic bauble. I definitely find those cheer a tree up, especially this time of year when they’re losing their leaves.

I pick up my dogs poop and either put it in a public bin or take it home to put in my bin. I wouldn't place it in someone's wheelie bin, because it does stink!

Chances are the bin had just been emptied. So bin owner would throw a heavy bin bag of rubbish onto it, the dog poo could splat out and the owner would be left to clean up.

That's just my worst case scenario, but even if that didn't happen, doing what you did was disgusting.

I've got 3 dogs....would never dream of putting their shit in someone else's bin! Put all the poo bags in a carrier and bin the lot in your own bin when you get home!

In my country both your options could get you a hefty fine. Your dog shit, you dispose of it in a proper way (bagged up in own bin or public bin). If you don't want to carry a bag of dog poo, don't buy/keep a dog.

I would be livid if someone put their dog crap in my bin. You choose to have a dog you take the shit home with you!

Why on earth would you use anyone else's bin? Bloody rude. Take it home.

Dog poo has to be double bagged before going in a household dustbin. Otherwise bin men can refuse to take it.

You forgot the 3rd option:

Of course you pick it up and carry it until you find a bin. Why wouldn't you? Good dog poo bags are thick and can withstand the contents for 20mns.

This comes with the not so much fun parts of being a dog owner. Why should strangers bear other people's smelly property?

I just carry the poo until i reach the next dog poo bin, my dog typically doesn't like to poop anywhere near a poo bin so I end up carrying a bag of poop for ages!

I would never put it on someone's or my own general waste bin!
