To not want gnarly hands

What hand creams do you use that work wonders?
Nails are full of ridges, I use coconut oil which doesn't go down well as it takes so long to soak in. Constantly cleaning and hands in water.
What's your secret hand food?

Hmmm id see if you can get your thyroid checked. Thinning eyebrows and nail ridges can be symptoms of thyroid problems. It's relatively common for thyroid issues to come on after childbirth too

O'keefes working hands is a good hand cream. I also like cutex mail oil.

Gardengoddess · 22/10/2020 21:30

@ChocolateCherrybomb I'll give that a go, your comment made me chuckle. It is probably that I need to be more assed with myself, I try a cream for a bit, doesn't work so I go back to my old ways. Sticking my hands in bleach and digging in the garden haha.

My kids on the other hand, are covered in coconut oil, given healthy homemade purees, vitamins and are just happy healthy and beautiful, I'm doing something right haha

@babygroups I'll have to get it checked, honestly my eyebrow used to be amazing (the only feature I liked) now I dont even pluck them and wait for them to grow, it's really upset me

Get your thyroid checked maybe?

Noidea2114 · 22/10/2020 21:42

Most evenings when I settle down to watch TV I coat my hands in any body lotion and cover with plastic gloves
I've even used plastic bags. Let it soak in for an hour or more. Before bed I just massage the lotion in.
Lovely smooth hands.

IAintentDead · 22/10/2020 21:42

@Gardengoddess

I started taking seven seas multivitamins too to see if that's was causing the ridges, too early to tell. I actually used to have really good eyebrows but they dont grow like they used to, lost lots of hair after my little girl but she's over 2 now. You know when you just feel like you are going to pot Haha
Extra Vit D3 along with the multi vitamin wouldn't go amiss. Alongside strengthening your nails it will also boost your immune system
Gardengoddess · 22/10/2020 21:56

@IAintentDead It was on a 3 for 2 offer so bought my kids usual vitamin, sevenseas adult multivitamin and vitamin D 1000 iu. Only been using them 3 days not sure how long it will take to see any benefit.

Does anyone know why my nails grow sideways to the nail bed?
