Oddly enough, my cocker spaniel always smells lovely. Never had a dog like her - she's an ex show dog and I suspect she sneaks off to the beauty parlour when I'm not looking.

It's bacteria and the heat from her feet when she sleeps makes it smell, apparently.

As gross as it is, it's my favourite smell in the world.

Cat's feet smell like biscuits. Cat's fur smells like baby powder.

I don't know how I'll go on without my boy, but I hope I will outlive him so I will always be there for him when he needs me.

I don't know but you might find it consoling that you are bearing the pain so that your darling girl didn't have to.

I think dog people think their dogs smell nice and everyone else thinks they smell rough as fuck.

My lovely dog smells of wotsits or sometimes digestives. He’s absolutely glorious (apart from his breath 🤮)

It has never occurred to me to smell my dogs' feet, but this thread has made me very curious, going by how bad their breath ( and foot licking frequency ) is I have to say I'm a little apprehensive!

I love this thread. I love the smell of my dog, I find it very comforting. It’s always stronger when he’s been asleep. I always give his ears a sniff before I leave the house.
