Mine has no smell. At times they smell of whatever gorgeous product they use when she gets groomed, and sometimes I spray her with doggie perfume. Given she is a small dog her feet are tiny.

I don't care if it is caused by bacteria (which I didn't know until I read this thread) I love the biscuity, comforting, warm smell of my dog's feet ; it's a bit like smelling your favourite teddy when you're a kid - or is that just me?
I think it's mutual because my dog likes licking my feet, but I draw the line at doing that to hers.

he gets soaking wet feet on his walk, so they are washed and then dried on an old towel, so any colonies of bacteria well and truly washed off.

Biscuits (when they're clean and dry-I don't go near them when they've just come back from a muddy walk!)
