To want to inflict harm on all of the Mr Men

DS 4 is obsessed with Mr Men books. Absolutely obsessed but it's getting to the point where I want to stab my eyes out just so I don't have to read another bloody one.

Why are they all so bloody smug?
Why is everything 'extraordinarily'?
Why does Mr Happy regularly pop up to be, quite frankly, a bit of a parsimonious prick?
WHY ARE THEY SO LONG?

I can't take it anymore. Please tell me I'm not the only one that wants to drop kick Mr Happy for being so bastarding passive aggressive?

I was fully prepared to be told IABU but I would've fought it to the death. Looks like I've found my tribe! Thank you everyone for confirming that I'm not mad in thinking Mr Tickle is one step away from an anti molestation order. Pervert.

Someone mentioned Mr tall who walked for ages. Well he's with mr small. On the way there he carries him. On the way back he walks home which is miles away but it takes him 5 mins. Mr small ha to walk back on his own and it takes him years. mr Tall is a dick for forgetting him.

Actually it was the Nancy Drew book i tried to reread as an adult that gave me the biggest shock. I read every one as a child and used to buy new one every week. But when i read an original one as an adult i just couldn't read beyond the first chapter and stopped trying to encourage my daughter to have a go....AWFUL!!!

Even as a child it really annoyed me that Nancy was always 19 but it would say things like 'two summers ago, when Nancy solved the mystery of the missing bucket' and you'd think , hang on, how could she have been 19 two years ago and 19 now as well?

I loved Mr Nosey, and Mr Bump but I was 5 or 6...

Just told DS 4 to go get changed after school. This is what he is wearing. What are the odds the morning after my post. I feel like Mr Happy is mocking me.

Little Miss Neat waiting for the final leaf to fall off the tree. Along comes Mr Happy and pulls it off. Still stuck in my head all these years later.
