Given we are all going to be doing a lot more socialising outside this winter, I'm going to upgrade my much loved but rather tatty fleece lined boots..... Which are your favourites now, and where do I get them?

Looking forward to having toasty toes when chatting to mates!

I've just bought some Woodsman boots from Celtic and Co and love them.

Oooo I've been eyeing those up! Are they as nice as they look on the website? Are they comfy (I go for lots of long walks)?

I love my Emu boots. I have the Paterson Classic Lo ones, the outer is waterproof suede and they have a sheepskin lining and are so cosy. I'm a size 5 so ordered a 5 and they were a bit tight but after reading reviews I stuck with them and now they have moulded to my feet and they fit like an absolute glove.

I work in a particularly cold office (it’s a port a cabin in the woods!) in winter I do always end up digging out my ugg boots for the really cold days. They are neither stylish or beautiful but the keep my feet warmer than anything else

TH22 · 21/10/2020 15:51

I have just ordered my first pair of Emus and highly recommend! They're fully fur lined, sturdy sole and waterproof. They're like walking on a cloud! Can be dressed down with jeans or up with tights and dress. Totally sold!

eurochick · 22/10/2020 20:19

@ZombieOtter they are very comfy. Quite roomy around the toes so could wear with thick socks.

PuffinShop · 22/10/2020 20:25

I've got some Ecco Noyce ones that do the trick very nicely for Iceland. I reckon I'd be sweating in the UK though, but maybe it depends what you're used to.

seaclaidte · 22/10/2020 20:29

Kurt Gieger always. The quality is always good and they arent too pricey either.

VirginiaWolverine · 22/10/2020 20:41

I love my Dr Martens Leonores. They are the chelsea boots with the fake fur/shearling lining.

MillieVanilla · 22/10/2020 20:43

Not fleece lined but I bought a pair of suede ankle boots from Bertie about 5 years ago, they are still going strong, comfy as anything, go with anything and the soles are thick enough to keep the cold out.

thistimelastweek · 22/10/2020 20:49

Doc Martens do a fleece lined winter boot. Truly the best but ever.

Northernsoullover · 22/10/2020 20:50

Panama Jacks do lovely fleecey lined boots.

33goingon64 · 23/10/2020 17:38

My Celtic woodsman boots didn't last that long. I've got some Skechers ankle boots that are waterproof and furry on inside. Also got my eye on DuBarry for Christmas list... 💷💷💷💷💷💷💷💷

hulahoopqueen · 23/10/2020 17:50

I came on to say either Uggs or faux sheepskin lined DMs and can see both are already mentioned!! Honestly @loveyouradvice, Uggs may not be fashionable but they are ridiculously cosy, and you can often find certain styles on sale

Skigal86 · 23/10/2020 17:53

Doc marten wintergrip boots. They are SO warm and comfy. They replaced my gorgeous leather UGG boots which I wore to death, I wore them pretty much every day through winter for four years.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 23/10/2020 17:57

I really liked Costco sheep skin boots. So warm. Maybe they still sell them. They were really cheap too fir how long they last.

nancybotwinbloom · 23/10/2020 18:12

I've got uggs. I know they are hated on here but I love mine.

I've got these ones, really good price, really comfy and warm but I've only been wearing them for the last 2 weeks so can't comment on the quality yet.

These. SO warm and much more comfortable than Docs (also still made in the UK, unlike most Docs).

purplecorkheart · 23/10/2020 19:18

Following with interest. Can anyone suggest good boots for walking on slippy pavements. Thanks

Fluffybutter · 23/10/2020 19:21

Another for either my faithful Ugg’s or the “fur” lined DM’s.
Both so warm and comfortable

loveyouradvice · 23/10/2020 19:24

What great recommendations... rather tempted by the Emus, which I hadn't heard of before.

I've had Uggs - superwarm and cosy but did begin to feel like boats, rather than boots! - and of course DMs, which Ive always loved....Ecco I've long loved for everyday shoes when doing lots of walking so I'll take a look at those too!

Mmmm... some happy browsing!!

Ugg leather fur lined boots. Waterproof, warm, like wearing slippers.

Tryingandfailing · 23/10/2020 19:28

Sorel Torino II boots, so warm and comfy!

Paddingtonthebear · 23/10/2020 19:28

Sorel Joan Explorer. So warm and comfy. They come in different colours, I got the grey ones last on Amazon last year for £54. I fancy getting the light brown ones this year too.
