Worked the night shift so this is my evening, and I’m really in the mood on this rainy day to curl up on the sofa with an engrossing film (not series) Any recommendations?

It’s a documentary but try American Murder - the family next door. Very gripping!

Cocolapew · 21/10/2020 10:06

I really enjoyed I See You, though Helen Hunts face was very distracting.

bluetongue · 21/10/2020 10:08

The Perfection had me gripped all the way through. It’s sort of a psychological thriller / horror hybrid. Best to go in knowing nothing about it.

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 21/10/2020 10:08

Fractured

Itshissister · 21/10/2020 10:08

Inheritance.

Have you seen HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER?

Angelina82 · 21/10/2020 10:12

That is actually on my to watch list @GreenestValley. I’m just more in the mood for a film right now so may give your suggestion a whirl @Cocolapew. Thanks guys/gals.

Ma and Greta I found quite good.

bluetongue · 21/10/2020 10:31

Yes, Fractured is great too.

Angelina82 · 21/10/2020 10:34

Inheritance.

Have you seen HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER?

Nope. I have heard it’s good though. Inheritance sounds familiar. My problem is I’m terrible at remembering titles so can never remember if I’ve seen things a lot of the time until I’m part way through it!

Get out

AryaStarkWolf · 21/10/2020 10:37

@Itshissister

Inheritance.

Have you seen HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER?

Inheritance is shite, terribly flaky, plot holey but predictable storyline
AryaStarkWolf · 21/10/2020 10:38

This was pretty good ^

Also, The Family next door was really good (not a movie as much as a documentary)

Mrsmedley · 21/10/2020 10:39

Haunting of Bly Manor...

Angelina82 · 21/10/2020 10:39

Ok I’m gonna have a filmathon today I think, starting with ‘I see you’ and go from there. That’s if I don’t fall fast asleep 10 minutes in 😂. Thanks everyone. Smile

Greta was excellent!

Msmcc1212 · 21/10/2020 10:42

Marking just in case more suggestions come along.

ArsenicNLace · 21/10/2020 10:43

The Ones Below a British psychological thriller with David Morrissey.

A Simple Favor (sic) with Anna Kendrick. A black comedy/thriller.

LisaLee333 · 21/10/2020 10:43

@Angelina82

Haunting of Hill House.

Little Fires Everywhere

The Sinner

Oooh, there's so much good stuff on Netflix! Grin

Quartz2208 · 21/10/2020 11:17

I know it is a series but I loved Haunting of Hill House took me 3 days to watch the 10 episodes but it was amazing

species5618 · 21/10/2020 11:53

How about Gone Girl although some scenes might make you wince a bit.
Slightly out of the box and with a sci-fi theme, Ex Machina

Sodamncold · 21/10/2020 11:55

Killing of a sacred deer

sapnupuas · 21/10/2020 11:58

I came on to say I See You.

It's underrated.

Twistered · 21/10/2020 21:36

Cocolapew ....... I'm watching I See You right now. Oh my Helens Hunt mouth .... What the hell!

jessstan1 · 21/10/2020 21:38

If you want fiction, a new version of 'Rebecca' with Lily James as Mrs De Winter, is on Netflix from today.
