To ask which brand of coffee/tea mug is really fine bone China?

My DW loves fine, really thin china mugs for her tea
I have bought Maxwell Williams designs for her and they are lovely but quite expensive

Usually I would go to TKMAXX in the lead up to Christmas and would usually find just the thing. Or we would go to the China shop outlet in Street, or John Lewis
Sadly we don't have TKMAXX or JL in our LOCKDOWN area and I am doing most of our shopping online.

Please, there must be other people who only like whisper thin china out there!
Can you help?

Sorry, can’t recommend any particular makes, but make sure it is bone china. Don’t get confused with “fine china” which is heavier and thicker.

I don’t think there is a difference between fine bone china and bone china. It’s the bone ash that makes it so strong, thin and light.

Ok thank you!

I have a mug from Stokes Croft Pottery tvsr is so fine I can see through the bottom when I finish my drink!

But oh no, that's too big, it has to be a small mug!

These might be okay, we have the Tea Understands one and I can see through the sides enough to tell whether the tea has been drunk or not. 300ml, slightly smaller than the ones we adults use (this one is my son's tea mug). Hope that might be some use to you?

We are looking for extra fine bone china mugs too but they must be conical - 330ml or 350ml

kingsandqueens.org.uk have a lot of fine bone china mugs
not conical though
