My mum and auntie support him, I'm on the fence because I don't know enough.

Is there some new development?

Who - Rapey McRapeface? I'm not keen.

My mum and auntie felt sorry for O J Simpson. They were wrong too.

HelpOrHindrance · 18/10/2020 08:23

He is a liar and a rapist.

seayork2020 · 18/10/2020 08:27

You know that teacher, neighbour, boss etc. you had at school that your parents could not put their finger on but there is something that you can't describe

That is what I think of him

CigarsofthePharoahs · 18/10/2020 08:29

He's a rapist.

Branleuse · 18/10/2020 08:30

i think hes been set up and its awful. This is what happens to whistleblowers.

BathshebaAndGabriel · 18/10/2020 08:30

He is a rapist and narcissist.

LavaCake · 18/10/2020 08:30

Generally not a fan of rapists.

soupmaker · 18/10/2020 08:34

He's a massive narcissist. I don't know if he is a rapist, but hiding away in an embassy is not a good look.

Velvian · 18/10/2020 08:44

Cannot stand him. He doesn't exactly have the courage of his convictions does he?

justinhawkinsnavalfluff · 18/10/2020 08:47

Spineless little man who helped trump get into power.

yetanotherusernameAgain · 18/10/2020 08:47

Can't stand him since his comment "women have been very generous" in response to being asked about having sex with so many women (Radio 4 Today programme). Often wondered if his "generous" women friends were providing him with sex while he was holed up in the embassy so not very surprised that he fathered two children while in there. God knows what women see in him.

As for Wikileaks, I respect Edward Snowden and Chelsea Manning for acting on their principles and taking the consequences. Assange, on the other hand, encouraged people to put themselves in jeopardy but then scuttled off like a cowardly weasel at the first sign of personal peril.

Fluffybutter · 18/10/2020 09:31

Genuinely interested, why are some so sure he is a rapist and it’s not a set up so they can finally nail him for being a whistleblower?

Branleuse · 18/10/2020 10:23

I am sure its a set up. I honestly dont think the US government or any other give a shiny shit about rape

chaosisaladder · 18/10/2020 10:29

I don’t think he has done anything particularly brave, just stood on the shoulders of others

Also I don’t know why but I find it weird or something, I don’t know but it makes me Confused that he fathered two children while in that embassy in London... g

FractionalGains · 18/10/2020 10:32

Having one man decide what is and isn’t going into the public domaine is very dangerous in my opinion. I think it’s very naive to just say he’s holding power to account - lots of things are secret for a reason, things such as the identity of intelligence agents as one very obvious example. I hated wikileaks.

And that’s before you get onto the issues of rape...

ivftake1 · 18/10/2020 11:31

@LavaCake

Generally not a fan of rapists.
This is my opinion too, but am I missing something?!

My mum and her sisters seem have quite a bit of internalised misogyny so perhaps that's why they're a fan of his! In a nuanced way of course.
