Anyone know about tracked postage?

I've just bought a tracked 24 with signature postage label from Royal Mail. It wants me to take the letter to my local delivery office but it's miles away.

Can I use my village post office instead?

Thank you

Ring the village post office and ask them if they can take it?

QuestionableMouse · 15/10/2020 13:52

I tried that but no one answered. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pretty sure you can. I do. The only limitation I'm aware of is that you need to post it by the date it tells you.
I've actually just put them in the post box before.

Tracked 24 must be taken to a customer service point. It will tell you on the RM website if the village post office is (they're not normally).

The point of the tracked service is end to end tracking. You can't get that if you use a postbox.

I'm not talking about using a post box but the actual post office. 😊

Update - nope, they couldn't deal with it.

I gave in at that point and bought postage from them. Which I probably should have done in the first place 😕😕😕🤷🏻‍♀️

The flaming thing is in the system now anyway.

You can put it in a post box or parcel box but it will miss it's acceptable scan and won't be scanned until it's leaving your depot
