So Upset. Stolen Cat.

Hermes driver and her daughter took our cat on Thursday 8th Oct - we have witnesses.

After turning up every day for months they disappeard, with the cat. A different driver turned up to collet our 'sting'' parcel on Friday. Their job was advertised on Indeed the next day.

I know the girl is a teenager, not in school, called Izzy. I have the van reg. no. It's a 59 reg silver/blue transit.

Herbie is an old man who has lived here all his life. We took him in last winter when his original owner couldn't look after him anymore.

The police are on it but can't get information about the van nor contact Hermes.

AIBU to be so upset? I can usually cope with life's dificulties but his gentle, innocent soul must be so distressed and it's hurting.

Please, if anyone knows the driver and/or daughter, let me know where to get Herbie back so he can spend his last days in the home he knows.

@tararabumdeay so glad OP. did anyone (or anyones ring doorbell/camera) catch them? just wondering if they showed up in their van or attempted to be a bit more stealth in a car.

Just got back from work and Herbie is sitting outside as usual - his choice, the front door is open for him.

I heard the WO mention. Oh how humiiliating! My first time on R4 and it's a cat thread not a world changing idea. Never mind, it's his world as he knows it.

No real info about what happened to him. He's never been big on emotion, just gets on with his little life.

I'll put a 'happy' cat photo on tomorrow; I don't want to flash him now. This morning he was sat in the sun on a neighbour's grass where he was last seen 11 days ago. It would have made a great photo but the kerfuffle made me a little late leaving.

R4 is my constant companion and it has long been my ambition to write a world changing Afternoon Drama. When I do, it'll be about a little orange cat.

Yay, so quite possibly they did think he was a stray or something and panicked when they saw all the facebook posts?

Or alternatively Herbie is secretly a criminal mastermind who framed the two of them as potential kidnappers while he went away on his own nefarious business.
