to want to play some more very slow games of scrabble?

I have only got 3 on the go now so I thought it was about time I annoyed some more people by playing one uninspiring scrabble move per day

please invite me:

frannyandzooey at india dot com

using this link. I'm not on Facebook

mintydixcharrington · 23/10/2007 17:12

OK tutt I've arranged for the emails to be sent again

so now pops and I are BOTH waiting for you
(not to put too much pressure on you or anything)

Tutter · 23/10/2007 19:53

ta daaaaaaa

[flourish]

mintydixcharrington · 23/10/2007 20:04

whooo hoooo!
right back at you

Tutter · 23/10/2007 20:07

peep, are you sitting there, oed in hand, btw? because i'm doing this blind

Tutter · 23/10/2007 20:08

ps otiose???

Tutter · 23/10/2007 20:19

oh yeaaaaaaah

mintydixcharrington · 23/10/2007 20:19

whats wrong with otiose?

no, I do it blind, I think using a dictionary is cheating

and I don't use stupid 2 letter words unless I actually recognise them as words..

franny, however, writes things like "xi"

mintydixcharrington · 23/10/2007 20:20

FUCKING hell

FrannyandZooey · 23/10/2007 20:21

Xi is damn useful

I use it a lot, along with Qi

you will too now, I'll warrant

OP posts:
Tutter · 23/10/2007 20:22

good, i too am, dictionary-less

actually it's under trhe head end of ds2's cot so totally irretrievable right now

i do do "qi" occasionally

FrannyandZooey · 23/10/2007 20:22

oi I don't go through the dictionary looking for words

I do use the dictionary function of Scrabulous if I want to know if a word I've thought of is real, though

and I know both Xi and Qi are

do you count that as cheating because if so I am cheating and had best not play

OP posts:
IdrisTheDragon · 23/10/2007 20:24

I am veyr happy for you (and anyone) to use Xi and Qi and Xis and any other random words .

FrannyandZooey · 23/10/2007 20:25

how about dwangs? Dwangs is fab

OP posts:
mintydixcharrington · 23/10/2007 20:25

Qi? Qi?

Well I'll bloody use THAT one, next time I have a Q and no U.

WHat does it mean?

mintydixcharrington · 23/10/2007 20:26

oh refresh tutt, I've played

FrannyandZooey · 23/10/2007 20:26

oh idris I have found that book, would you still like it? can you send me your address if so please?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 23/10/2007 20:26

I have no idea what qi is, you don't have to know definitions of words to play them in scrabble

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 23/10/2007 20:27

qat is another good one for when you have no U

OP posts:
Tutter · 23/10/2007 20:28

yup me too peep, reeeee-fresh [confident]

Tutter · 23/10/2007 20:28

qat sounds rude franny

mintydixcharrington · 23/10/2007 20:29

you do in this house
if you can't define it, you can't play it
(dh and I are hardcore. we had a colossal fight in caracas airport at 2am once because he didn't believe there was such a thing as a clavier. he was smugly sitting back saying "you mean claviCLE" and I was shouting "you fucking ignoramus I've even PLAYED a clavier!". Oh, happy days)

Tutter · 23/10/2007 20:30

oh pph you are lucky

dh, whilst adorable (especially right now, he arrived home with diamond ring yday) is useless at scrabble

i have to wait for parents to stay to play

mintydixcharrington · 23/10/2007 20:30

refresh tutt

I've played QI. It felt GOOOOOOD

FrannyandZooey · 23/10/2007 20:31

knowing what the words means isn't the point though, they're just patterns that you are putting on the board

the rules say you must use one of the allowed patterns but they could be strings of numbers or colours or something, you don't have to know what they stand for
