no, I do it blind, I think using a dictionary is cheating

and I don't use stupid 2 letter words unless I actually recognise them as words..

I have no idea what qi is, you don't have to know definitions of words to play them in scrabble

I've played QI. It felt GOOOOOOD

knowing what the words means isn't the point though, they're just patterns that you are putting on the board

the rules say you must use one of the allowed patterns but they could be strings of numbers or colours or something, you don't have to know what they stand for
