Dental filling!!!!

So, I've found out I need my very first dental filling.

I am a MAJOR needle phobe so the idea of having a needle in my MOUTH of all places is setting me off in panic attacks tonight, especially as I know I can't just leave my tooth.

Someone talk me down? Tell me I'm being ridiculous and it's not that bad?

Communicate your anxiety to your dentist and see how they intend to proceed or have ideas how to manage. As a minimum, they can describe the process step by step so you've no uncertainty. They numb the injection site so the discomfort can be less than an injection in arm or wrist.

I am terrified of the dentist and she gave me a script for diazepam to take in the morning before the appointment
That was years ago and now I promise you it's not that bad it just nips a bit I promise nothing more xx

If it makes you feel better it hardly feels like anything. Like a sharp scratch.
