I'm scared

I wrote a post last night. I've had period trouble most of the year. Often get ovary discomfort and spotting. Usually midcycle. .
The left side near my ovary has flared up the last few days. Feels niggly. I did a stretch last night and felt discomfort in the area. and then felt wet down below. I went to the bathroom and I was bleeding fresh blood.

Drs are swabbing me and doing a smear next week. I've been fairly ok today. Mainly brown spotting in discharge. But tonight I have dulll cramps in my uterus area. Pink spotting is still on the tissue.

I just am scared something is going to get worse. What if I suddenly end up in agony or worse?

I don't know if it's a ruptured cyst or something. Or an infection. But I've not slept with anyone unprotected in 3 years and nobody at all in the last year. Only one sexual partner in 9 years. So it's not going to be sti.

I know it could be endometriosis or something but it's getting the tests for that.

Currently freaking out about cancer, infections and getting really unwell in the night.

Please calm me down Sad

Well the best thing to do is stay away from Dr.Google. It'll have you thinking you most certainly have a terminal illness or the like and just blow everything out of proportion.

I'm sure it's nothing major. There is nothing you can do at the moment so best try to distract yourself. Listen to your favourite music or watch a a comedy film. Nothing heavy. I'm sure it'll be ok 💐.

Do you live alone OP? I can understand the worry, have you got painkillers to hand if you need them? A hot water bottle?

Remember you're not alone, if you need to call 111 for additional support/advice then do so. If the pain gets too unbearable, please think about A&E.

I hope though it's just the aftermath of whatever happened yesterday, and you'll have a comfortable night.

Hope you're feeling better OP Flowers

I had some irregular bleeding and cramps during lockdown (nothing as bad as what you describe) and was referred for swabs / smear / scan so I know how you feel waiting for the tests and results.

Take some painkillers if needs be, maybe a bath and try to relax in bed, reading/ watching TV, even if you can't sleep hope you can relax.
