Aibu to tell you about my quick awesome lunch...

2 slices of wholemeal bread..toasted. Good spread of lurpak on each. A fried egg on each, good bit of tomato ketchup and then topped with Batchelors baked beans. So good. What did you all have for lunch?

OP posts:
MrsJBaptiste · 12/10/2020 15:21

3 scrambled eggs, a piece of cheese and an apple.

lazylinguist · 12/10/2020 15:21

Oh and sorry, I agree with posters going bleurgh at your lunch OP! But then I don't like baked beans even when they aren't with egg!

lurkingfromhome · 12/10/2020 15:22

Veg soup, a few crackers with cream cheese, an apple, a Nked bar thing.

RedRec · 12/10/2020 15:22

Ham and tomato toasted sandwich. Was still hungry after that so had a bowl of Cheerios.

mogtheexcellent · 12/10/2020 15:22

Just to add I love all these lunch ideas!

Marmite27 · 12/10/2020 15:23

Peri peri chicken, firecracker rice, salad and honey mustard dressing.

Oh and an apple.

Warpedfrailty · 12/10/2020 15:23

Pepper, tomato and lentil soup with a sprinkle of pine nuts.

vanillandhoney · 12/10/2020 15:23

Tomato and basil soup with olive bread.

Backtoreality1 · 12/10/2020 15:24

Love egg and beans on toast!!!!! However, today it was red onion and goats cheese quiche....yummy.

CleverCatty · 12/10/2020 15:24

I thought 2 fried eggs was high cholesterol - however!

Today I had M&S Tarka Daal soup with 2 pumpkin seed Ryvitas with Pro Active on them and some Delamere Farm goats cheese and also a light coloured nectarine.

My other lunches are:-

Baxters Minestrone soup with grated cheese or Baxters French Onion Soup with grated cheese - any of the others are nice too. But I also get a half baguette with cheese on it from Sainsbos and have some of that each day with pro active, it lasts about 3 days then the baguette.

Other nice lunches are soup with Tescos olives bread - that stuff is lovely - better and cheap than my artisan bakery similar one and far better to the Sainsbos one too!

If I can be arsed a cheese omelette, jacket potato and salad can't be beaten either.

@RedRec

Ham and tomato toasted sandwich. Was still hungry after that so had a bowl of Cheerios.
is that a Breville toasted sandwich or under the grill or otherwise one??
SwimmingOnEggshells · 12/10/2020 15:26

I was being all virtuous with my lentil soup and some chilli beetroot on the side.

And then a flapjack accidentally fell into my mouth...

justjuggling · 12/10/2020 15:26

Scaraffito · 12/10/2020 15:28

Pukkatea · 12/10/2020 15:29

I'm on a diet so I had soup. I'm starving!

RedWine123 · 12/10/2020 15:29

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 12/10/2020 15:30

Quiche. Salad. Half slice of leftover beef. Bread and butter.

Fried egg and beans are lovely together. OP I would eat your lunch though I'd burp all afternoon.

Peace43 · 12/10/2020 15:30

Bacon and scrambled egg in a pancake

Allywill · 12/10/2020 15:32

ohtheholidays · 12/10/2020 15:32

I had 2 slices of toast(white bread)a fried egg on once slice with branston pickle on top and 2 slices of very crispy smoked bacon and it was gorgeous.

randomer · 12/10/2020 15:33

Bachelors eh? Contraversial but hey why not.

Chickychickydodah · 12/10/2020 15:34

Toast and black current jam

Mvshrln · 12/10/2020 15:35

I went to a new vegan place near me and had junk food (loaded fries with mac n cheese). Feel quite sick now...

Scrowy · 12/10/2020 15:35

Chilli con carne and half and half. We are farmers though and generally have three hot meals a day at this time of year through to spring.

I just had a sideplate worth though.. the waistline doesn't thank me on our winter diet.

SecretSpAD · 12/10/2020 15:38

Baked potato, half a pound of butter (slight exaggeration!), cheese and coleslaw, with a cup of tomato soup and a pear and apple for dessert Smile
