Hi,
I'm posting here for Traffic so apologies if the police think I'm in the wrong place!
WWYD in this situation...
We rent our house. Our landlords have decided, 18 months into the tenancy, to sell the house - it's gutting but we can't change it.
The rental market in our area is very, very hard and competitive at the moment(when we were looking for our current home right move had 150+ available within our set radius.... There are currently 41)
We have found our perfect house, we all love it. It's advertised as a long term let. BUT on viewing the (remarkably honest) estate agent said they need to get a straight answer from the landlord about what they want as up until v recently they were trying to sell and are only offering a 6 month tenancy to start with. I have since found the for sale ad and it was last edited in july.
We have a 3 year old (so need to register her in school by january) and don't want to be moving again in 6 months.
Aibu for thinking that if the estate agent comes back saying its long term and we win the tenancy we should take yet
YANBU = take the tenancy if estate agent says its king term
YABU = Run away fast!
