Little throws on beds

Just got back from a stay in forest holidays and the little purple throw on the bed had dirt on it. I’m talking smeared brown stuff on it and the cleaner never noticed. Anyway I was pretty angry and got the bedding changed and some drinks. However they did inform me they don’t change the throws on the bed with every customer.

Got me thinking, does anyone actually like these throws or does everyone chuck them on the floor as soon as they arrive?

What’s the point in them and would you expect them to be changed with every customer?

Having worked in a hotel, I put them in the wardrobe along with any cushions at the start of my stay. They're grim. But everyone expects that 'hotel style' bed set up piled with cushions and throws.

Bottom of wardrobe here too. I hate them. Don't want to think of the previous residents sitting on the end of the bed doing naked hair drying. Envy

Absolutely rank. I don’t know what the point of them is.

See also those gross cushions that get chucked on the floor then back on the bed every night

I hate those throws and cushions in holiday accommodation.

I read (probably on here) that the throws/runners on the end of hotel beds are there because people tend to dump their wheely cases on the beds to open them.

You’d think if there not being changed each time they’d not use them at the mo. Not very “Covid secure” is it?

The purple ones? After a few drinks DH likes to wear them as a toga and march around naked. Sooo - yep they're best chucked in the wardrobe Grin

Hahah the idea of someone using them as a toga! That will now be all I think about when i see them and how gross they are 🤣
