Facebook Question - posting for traffic

I am new to the world of Facebook and not totally sure what I'm doing just yet and I have a question if anyone can help. If I comment on a friend's post, I know they and their friends can see it, but can my friends see it if they are not friends with said friend? Hope that makes sense

It depends on their settings.

If they're set to 'friends only' then no.

If they're set to 'friends of friends' or 'public' then yes. Also, if they've tagged you in the post then depending on your own settings, your friends may be able to see.
