To want a pretty bottle of hand santiser

Ideasplease322 · 10/10/2020 11:40

I want a lovely big pump bottle of hand sanitiser to sit by the front door.

I love molten and brown, but they don’t seem to do it.

Any suggestions? Something that looks good and smells good.

Bramley do a hand sanitizer. It’s used in all the smart gastro pubs round here.

If you can get hold of any you need the Bath and Bodyworks Pocket Bac. First place I've always headed for in the USA and weirdly I had a big stock of it that DH took the piss out of before Covid.

They smell out of this world. I'm currently using this one on my handbag with a pumpkin spice sanitiser.

They can be picked up in the UK, mostly eBay and there were a few people on Facebook who did orders.

Why not buy in bulk and decant into a pretty pump bottle?

Howlooseisyourgoose · 10/10/2020 11:47

I've never bought the stuff so can't help. It's been proven it only works on clean hands and wears off when you go out and get a bit sweaty, so seems pointless. Apparently it's mostly effective in surgery as they will have just spent ages scrubbing down their hands with surgical soap too.

My world has become very small! I am living very carefully within the rules.

I have to buy hand sanitiser, what is wrong with looking for something I will like?

Thank you!! This is cool and the kids would love it. Must have a look.

Try your local health shop. Ours have a lovely lemon one (pretyy enough bottle) can't remember the brand

QueenOllie · 10/10/2020 11:53

Not the prettiest but they smell really good and my neighbours child has done pleading eyes at me for my Disney one (I did give her a bottle!) and some come with a holder

Quite! My hallway is cluttered with masks, gloves, wipes, sanitiser, and I'm hardly going anywhere else. It's here to stay for a good while so why not make it nice to look at.
I also thought you could decant from a big ugly bottle into a prettier one.

NannyR · 10/10/2020 11:54

You could just decant it into a nice soap dispenser pump bottle.

Why not just wash your hands though? Sanitiser is supposed to be an alternative for when soap and water is not available, surely you are near enough a sink in your own home to not need to use sanitiser.

JukeBoxHero · 10/10/2020 11:57

Actually, I bought a Santa one not dissimilar to the Bath and Bodyworks one from Home Bargains the other week as well. I think it's strawberry.

I suppose it is just to remind myself. If someone arrives at the door with a parcel I give my hands a quick squirt before and after I handle it etc.

I am also in a bubble with my sisters family so the hand sanitise on the way in.

Lots of handwashing too I promose😊

I keep a pump bottle in the car and small bottles in my handbag.

Maybe I am being over the Top. But hey, not going to take flak for it. I’m not harming anyone.

Neptune do a beautiful one which smells incredible

BashfulClam · 10/10/2020 11:59

Highland soap company. Hebridean seaweed smells like mint.

carleyemma91 · 10/10/2020 12:00

Soap and Glory do a lovely smelling sanitiser but it's small. Why don't you buy a pretty soap dispenser and just put your hand sanitiser in there?

Coughsyrupsucks · 10/10/2020 12:00

This one looked nice www.thisworks.com/products/stress-check-clean-hands-500ml

Hobnobsandbroomstick · 10/10/2020 12:01

Is it for guests to use? I hate hand sanitizer and only use it when out and about with no access to a sink and soap.

This stuff smells amazing though:

Hobnobsandbroomstick · 10/10/2020 12:09

Oh sorry just seen your update, fair enough. I've bought both the Yorkshire lad and lass hand sanitizer from the Yorkshire soap company (they also do amazing bath stuff and diffusers). Weirdly I prefer the Yorkshire lad scent to the lass one, and my boyfriend prefers the lass one, so he's ended up with the pink bottle Grin. Hard to describe, but the lass one is too flowery smelling for me, whereas the lad one is refreshing. Not tried the night night sweetheart one, but tempted to order the gift sent now and put the hand sanitizer in the car and soap and lotion in the guest toilet.

StCharlotte · 10/10/2020 12:13

I think the Carex one smells lovely (I've always had one in my bag - not because I'm a germaphobe but because I like to eat sticky cakes in coffee shops Grin). They do a family size one now that you could decant?

SonjaMorgan · 10/10/2020 12:19

The m&s one smells lovely. You would have to decant it into a pretty bottle though.
