Hey all.

Just made it through the initial 500 word statement and online judgement test so now awaiting an invite hopefully for the recorded interview.

Just wondering if any of you lovely mumsneters are either in the same process or are currently or have been a work coach and can give me any insights please

It's a totally different career path but something I'm really interested in perusing

I've read in a few places how difficult it can be to get through to the end and how many people apply for the positions available.

Any hints tips or experiences gratefully received

Hi, I too have applied, I’m just waiting to hear back after recently submitting my pre employment work checks .... how’s your progress so far?

This is perhaps of limited use but I do this job in Denmark. We focus on making sure that theyre doing everything right (joblog, jobnet cv), motivate them, advise on relevant courses, make concrete agreements on what they need to do before our next meeting (use smart). We try and keep it as concrete and understandable as possible. Its important to understand the person youre talking to and their baseline. What motivates them. Is it a particular job, working hours, proximity to home, that kind of thing. Is it lack of experience thats the biggest barrier or is their cv not selling them well enough.

Get rid of any empathy you have, also try to make sure you blame the cohort for being poor, especially if they are disabled make it really hard on them because sanctioning them will make their limbs grow back and their mental health instantly improve, remember OP food and respect is for the weak Hmm
