Bank compensation

Would like opinions on whether I’m being unreasonable (compensation chaser) or not.

I tried to open a dispute with my bank in July. I wasn’t able to due to bank issues, eg the declaration form had errors, they said they were working on it and would call back, this never happened so I would call them, they would say only the relevant department can help and would call me bank, rinse and repeat. It was 3 months worth of abysmal customer service and going around in circles. I was promised £20 compensation in July which wasn’t added to my account. I then opened a complaint in September, they took over a month to investigate.

My bank have upheld the complaint. The compensation is:

£20 which was promised before
£4 for the rest of the inconvenience
And they have refunded the transaction manually as I can no longer dispute it due to their delays.

Aibu to think the £24 is low? The £20 was offered in July, before most of the recent (and frustrating) issues occurred.

How much money have you lost as a result of this and have they apologised?

Did you agree to close the complaint?

How many phone calls have you made? How much time spent? I would tally everything up, contact them via website maybe so you can be concise with your expectation.
