To be totally fed up

I just can’t face another 6 months or longer on my own every day locked down. I’m single and age not on my side in terms of having children so just think by the time the world gets back to normal and I can meet people again it’ll be too late. I’ve tried online dating but only seem to get messages from men wanting to share x rated photos. Lots of my friends are loving lockdown as gives them more family time but argh I’ve had enough!

Hey Username198, it's weird to have read this post as I've been wondering how to type a post of my own. Though, unlike you, I'm married.. But I've never felt so alone.
I go to work, I come home, I clean and I cook. I clean up after my husband, I cook his food and was his clothes and eventually put them away. The only time we spend together is when he drives me to work.. around 15 minutes each way, three times a week.

I honestly have never felt so alone.

Where are you that you're still locked down in the house?

Didnt that end months ago?

Otherwise job, volunteer work, the pub beer garden?

I’m in Manchester so still pretty locked down and about to get worse and I do have a job but working from home every day.

Sometimes online games can be sociable. I haven’t played for a long time though. It’s not the same, but it might help a little. Any family you could move in with?

Totally get where youre coming from. I'm a single mum with 2 primary school aged kids and its hard. Re the online dating and pics, I've been there and not impressed, especially worried in case my girls saw something on my phone before I did and hsd a chance to delete. If you want to continue OLD give Bumble a chance... I've not had pics from there and have recently met I quite like. Otherwise its a big virtual hug from me to you my sweet and im sorry it's especially hard round your way right now x
