To ask about the Royal navy? Have you/are you in the Royal navy? Anyone's dc joining/joined?

Ds2 is going in the royal navy soon. He was supposed to go to Scotland for a few days but this has been cancelled. Now he's just having the interview by zoom.

I'm wondering what he's to expect when he actually joins?

Any advice welcome.

My dh was in, my db is still serving and my nephew joined a few years ago.
