DH told me the other day that our 9 year old was in floods of tears at bed time worrying about being burgled. She said she’d heard an advert about it.
I’m listening to the radio and heard what must be the same ad for Ring security devices, which has a “dad” who talks about how awful it was to be burgled and how awful it was to see the kids’ bedrooms turned upside down (I’m paraphrasing but you get the idea).
AIBU to think there’s no need to mention Kids’ bedrooms being burgled in this kind of ad?
Obviously they’re trying to pull at parents’ heartstrings, but in our house all they’ve done is upset my DD. She’ll get over it, but it seems a slightly misguided advertising strategy to me.
