Selling an iPhone on gumtree. Within 2 minutes of posting it, have message from someone over 100 miles away who wants it posting. Said she will
Pay for it now. Even when I say I can't post it till Saturday, she says she still wants it. This feels dodgy to me. Am I right?

Depends - how is she planning to pay you?

I had one of those last night for an item, didn’t ask a single question just wanted to pay now with PayPal, it seemed off so I said I don’t have paypal and it was cash on collection, never heard back.

Not enough information to tell. After all many places sell iPhones and post them to your home so it is not unusual request. But if you’re uncomfortable, you always can decline, edit your post to “cash and collect only” and go to next buyer/offer.

(If they want to pay by PayPal, that’s a definite red flag because they can then claim the phone never arrived and process a refund through PayPal.)

Don't Paypal still ask to see a tracking number as proof of delivery?

Tracking number is proof of sending something, but not proof it was received at correct address, by correct person and undamaged.

Put collection only and they pay cash when they arrive. Don't post, too much hassle

Does she want to may you by great weston union transfer? Sounds dodgy AF
