To postpone or not?

Our wedding is booked for July next year. We've enquired with the venue about moving and we can do that for an admin fee of £200. Everything else will remain the same.

We aren't in a rush and really want the full celebration with both of our family and friends and don't want to sacrifice the day we hopes for for this git of a virus. Totally understand that others do want to go through now though. Just our personal choice.

If in our shoes would you postpone to a later date? Possibly later 2021 or 2022?

I would postpone.

In your situation, I would postpone until 2022. It's not worth the stress of it possibly being cancelled/changed at the last minute.

Although, my main concern would be if the venue you've booked goes bust in the meantime though. I feel sorry for everyone in the wedding industry at the moment.

Good luck, whatever you decide

I think the most important thing is: how many guests do you have?

Weddingstresser · 05/10/2020 14:56

We have 105 guests. We've done a back up list of 70 people which would be the minimum we would go to. Just worried that come July we won't be able to have 70 guests.
